Clear Directions

Clear Directions is a classroom based program provided through the collaboration of Breakaway Addiction Services, George Hull Centre of Children and Families and the Toronto District School Board. The program is designed to address issues that prevent student’s achievement and to provide a secure educational environment in which they can develop their basic skills and recognize their areas of strength. The Clear Directions program’s teachers and social workers assist students working towards credits, while addressing substance abuse issues.

Clear Directions serves a maximum of 10 youths from the ages of 14 to 18, who live in the Greater Toronto Area, and who are experiencing both mental health and substance use problems.

Our multidisciplinary team of teachers and social workers provide ongoing clinical services including individual, family and group interventions. Students have the opportunity to develop their basic skills and recognize their areas of strength in our independent class setting. The program’s curriculum is credit-based and delivered within the Ministry of Education guidelines.

Students are in the classroom September to June, Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. For more information, please click here.
